Augmented reality (AR) is a camera-enhanced view whereby ‘virtual elements’ are overlaid onto a real-life setting. Traditionally used with tablet or smart phone, experience will be further enhanced over the next year with the use of AR glasses. The ‘virtual elements’ can consist of 3D models, video and web information. and they are read from a marker placed on any form of printed leave-piece.
At a recent congress we implemented a 3D printed heart to complement the AR experience.
